A new electric minivan from GAC Aion has surfaced in China, catching eyes with its distinctive, futuristic styling. Known as the Aion N60, this upcoming model features a front-end look that draws clear inspiration from the Geely-owned Zeekr Mix. Set to launch in the Chinese market next year, the N60 is being positioned primarily for taxi and commercial fleet use
Aion’s Growing EV Portfolio
Aion, the dedicated new-energy division under the GAC Group, was established in 2018 and has since become one of China’s fastest-expanding EV brands. The company is actively growing its global presence, with Southeast Asia and Europe marked as key overseas markets.
With eight models already on sale in China, the arrival of the N60 will expand the lineup to nine vehicles—this time targeting the business-mobility sector.
Compact Electric Minivan With SUV-Like Elements
The GAC Aion N60 is classified as a compact MPV, measuring 4615 mm long, 1860 mm wide, and 1673 mm tall, with a 2,775 mm wheelbase. While it’s a minivan at heart, its rugged plastic wheel-arch trim and slightly raised stance give it a hint of SUV personality.
Up front, the N60 features slim LED headlights that resemble the Zeekr Mix’s light signature. The front fascia is fully enclosed, typical of EVs, and the lower bumper integrates a large air intake to support cooling needs.
Other design highlights include:
- Flush-fitting door handles
- Charging port located on the right front fender
- Sharply angled A-pillars
- Short front and rear overhangs
- Frameless side mirrors
- Minimalist rear bumper, slim taillight bar, and roof spoiler
Depending on the trim, the N60 will be offered with 17- or 18-inch wheels.
Practical Dimensions and Technology
The N60’s approach and departure angles measure 17 and 24 degrees, respectively. Its curb weight comes in at 1,630 kg, while the gross weight is rated at 2,075 kg.
Although GAC has not yet showcased the full interior, homologation images reveal a cabin built around a large floating touchscreen. Additional tech includes a camera cluster just below the windshield and an optional roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, hinting at advanced driver-assistance capabilities. The MPV is configured with five seats, aligning with its fleet-focused mission.
Powertrain: Efficient Motor for Fleet Duty
Under the skin, the Aion N60 is powered by GAC’s TZ160XYD3A02 permanent-magnet electric motor, delivering 100 kW (134 hp). It draws energy from an LFP battery pack supplied by Inpai Technology, a GAC subsidiary. Battery capacity details have not yet been shared.
The modest power output suggests GAC is prioritizing efficiency and durability—key traits for vehicles that will run long hours in urban environments.
Expected Launch and Pricing
The GAC Aion N60 is scheduled to hit the Chinese market next year. Early industry estimates point to a starting price near 100,000 yuan (approx. 14,140 USD), which would make it an appealing option for taxi operators and commercial mobility services.
