A popular Weibo tipster shared the latest ranking of this year’s flagship devices, revealing that the Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max scored the highest in signal strength. This puts it ahead of the Honor Magic 8 Pro, which was previously recognized for its advanced signal capabilities. The Magic 8 Pro utilizes AI-driven network detection to boost power efficiency by approximately 13%, but Huawei’s latest approach seems even more effective.

The Magic 8 Pro features a 6-Wing Antenna System combined with five communication chipsets. According to tests, this setup can deliver up to 70% stronger signal reception. Huawei, however, has adopted a unique approach for the Mate 80 Pro Max. The phone’s all-metal design includes four-sided antenna breaks along each edge, ensuring consistent signal performance regardless of how the device is held.
Additionally, the 700MHz Emergency Band provides exceptional ground penetration, reaching through up to three walls and achieving a range of 13 kilometers for emergency communications.
